InnoPath’s FOTA client deployed on KDDI’s Common Platform 'KCP+'
Validates
company’s
continuing product leadership
Tokyo, January 29, 2008 – InnoPath
Software, the leader in Integrated Mobile Device
Management (iMDM) solutions, today announced
that InnoPath’s FOTA client will be deployed
on KDDI’s Common Platform ‘KCP+’.
KCP+ is KDDI’s new common software platform
spanning almost all software on a mobile device,
including the OS and middleware. Based on Qualcomm’s
MSM™ chipset and BREW®, the goal of
KCP+ is to reduce the cost and time to develop
new handsets, thereby accelerating new services
deployment. In addition, handset manufacturers
will now be able to focus on those aspects offering
differentiation, such as the design and user
interface.
As mobile devices become increasingly complex,
the ability to manage them over-the-air is critical.
The InnoPath client, in conjunction with the
server, manages software on the handset allowing
operators to increase service acceptance linking
to ARPU, as well reduce customer support costs
and improve customer satisfaction. InnoPath continues
to work with operators focusing on performance,
functionality, and ease of integration.
The adoption of InnoPath’s client for
KCP+ is continued evidence of the company’s
strong traction in the device management client
market and builds upon InnoPath’s long
history of working with KDDI’s handset
manufacturers.
IDC’s recent report* recognized
InnoPath as the MDM leader in its ability to
gain market share and alignment with market opportunities.
InnoPath has also recently been acknowledged
by Inc. Magazine as an Inc. 500 recipient.
